It's Like a Drug...

...or a heart attack.

I had shortness of breath and I was all sweaty. Afterwards I felt like I had run a marathon, I was exhausted and all of my muscles were sore. That's right folks, it's that time of year again. I so look forward to Mega consignment sale time. This is no ordinary sale, it covers multiple basketball courts. Women come prepared with rolling carts and laundry baskets with ropes tied to them so they can just drag them around, it is complete madness. And I am right there with them throwing elbows (not really) to get the Polo denim dress and Kate Spade, yes, you read that correctly, real Kate Spade diaper bag. Kendall got way more then Kate because frankly, Kate doesn't need anything, she gets all of Kendall's stuff from the last two years! Here are the goods:

She doesn't need any jeans but we got a couple pair of comfy pants and some khakis.

And you can never go wrong with snail pants.

Random sweaters and shirts
Two coats, the navy one is quilted and seems very warm, it's my favorite.
Three little dresses, the middle one is a sweater material, the denim is Ralph Lauren

I envision the pink plaid with little tights and sweater. The jury is still out on the appliqued plaid but I'm thinking little red sweater and shoes??
Cardigans, the stripped one's buttons are sewn on with red thread, love the details.
Tights, the white leggings are for Kate
PJ's, the pink flannel are supposedly Kate's size they are actually the same as Kendall's.
A couple of sweaters, I think that the pink with green ribbon will match her new snail pants.
Yes, that is a denim blazer for a three year old, I'm in love...you should see it on her! The other is Janie and Jack.

The top three (two pair boots and some Reebok) are for Kendall the others are for Kate.
Fabulous funky Kate Spade
And a few things for my Kate:
I can't resist cuffed jeans on a one year old.
Polo denim dress to match her big sister.

I love this little whale sweatshirt!

Not shown is the brand new infant swing for our new swing set, the Dora toy ($3) that someone we all know went ballistic for, and both of their Halloween costumes which I have decided to keep a secret.

Cousins that live nearby with children: email me if you want the information for the sale it is still going on.

Good Times

I little bed head action.

My brother-in-law Jeff had a lay over here tonight so we were able to spend the afternoon with him. It was really nice to visit, I have the coolest family.

Last night I had to say good-bye to my niece Alex. She went off to college today and I wont see her again before we move, so incredibly sad.

Tonight we went to CJ's soccer game. Luckily we didn't get rained on!

Tomorrow during the day I have a haircut (still debating how short to go) and tomorrow night Brian will be home, yippee!

As seen on countless other mommy blogs we have been trying out this fun new way of eating lunch.

Blah

Stressed out right now, don't want to talk about it but here are some pictures that Lorie took.

Why just walk when you can pretend to fly?

Monkey-ing around. I like the concentration face.

I'm in Love

Jeff and Jill sent over 100 pictures of our new house. Here are just a few.

Our front door:

One of the girls' closets:

The cutest little lady bathroom ever (it has those octagon shaped tiles on the floor and is bigger then their current bedrooms!--love it)

One of the fireplaces:

Looking from the master bedroom into the master bath:

I have looked through them all about 743 times. I'm incredibly excited and just can't wait!

Off to the pool now.

Pool days

We've spent the last two days at the pool and we have plans to meet friends there again tomorrow. The girls have so much fun and they are so good there and surprisingly it is relaxing for me! Yesterday Kendall was too timid to brave this deluge of water to get to the slide but today about 20 minutes before we left she did it and then didn't stop. She was great and SO unbelievably proud of herself. I can't wait for tomorrow she is going to have even more fun!

Here is Kendall and Bailey chilling out with a snack during a break.

The little monkey that is completely unafraid of the water. She just runs in laughing and splashing. This pool has a gradual entrance so she can just walk in and out on her own. What fun!

Brian, Jeff, and Jill went to the inspection of our new house today and they took a lot of pictures. I can't wait to see them and will post some once I get them.

Dress Up and House

We played dress up after nap again today. Kate looked uber-stylish in her golden kitten heals and little hat. She decided that the shoes were better for chewing.

Kendall is looking WAY too old here. Slow down little lady, you're growing up way too fast.

She has a pretty good sense of humor for a three year old!

In other news, we found a house...FINALLY. I was getting very discouraged because we were having a hard time finding one that we liked. I had a search set up to send me an email when new houses were listed that fit within our criteria. I received an email with the house and immediately sent it to Brian. He had just seen the email too and thought it looked good. He scheduled a showing that night and we made an offer the next morning! I can wait to move in, actually, I can't wait to see it, ha. Brian has been great giving descriptions and drawing floor plans for me. We saw so many houses that he knows exactly what I like and dislike and I trust him completely.

The Little Mermaid

We started out the day at the park. We were ready for a fun day and we had our picnic basket packed. We sat down to our lunch and dark, ominous storm clouds rolled in. It didn't take us long to pack everything up and find a new location for the picnic. We decided to just go to the mall so the kids could finish eating and still spend the time together. We parked in the garage since it was already pouring and were just walking into the mall when I saw a nice bench next to the large fountain and I decided that would be the perfect place to continue our picnic.
The "big girls" sat facing the fountain while Jennie and I sat facing the other way to feed the babies.

I had one little mishap, while I was cutting our apple a chunk flew over my shoulder and into the fountain. I cracked up.

Jennie and I reminded the girls to scoot back so they wouldn't fall in and at one point I made a dive because I thought that Kendall was going in. But it was a false alarm. I returned to my job of feeding Kate

Can you guess what happened next?

Poor little lady. She kept saying two things: 1) Why did I fall in the water!? and 2) People saw me! Now that we are home and dry she thinks it is funny though so all is good.

Keeping Busy **Edited to add more pictures

I've been trying to keep the girls busy this week. I'm wanting to cram in as much fun as possible before we have the stress of the "big move". We went to Noah's Ark the other day with Jennie, Anna, and Noah. Kate had so much fun it was ridiculous. We haven't been since she started walking and as soon as I put her feet on the ground she was off and running with her arms waving in the air and screaming like a maniac, she was estactic. She just ran from one thing to the next and made herself at home by getting really close to any other kid and playing with whatever they were playing with, then looking up and smiling at them really big. Luckily they didn't seem to mind. It is very clear that her personality is different from Kendall's!

Kendall and I have been doing a lot of art projects lately. I had all the supplies out today trying to sort them a little. Once we're in the new house I want to get shoebox size plastic containers to sort each thing into. That way only one medium will be out at a time...easier to stay focused and to clean up.

Last night after bath we played dress up.

This afternoon we're meeting Karin, Bailey, and Toby at the pool to catch up and play. We have another showing of our house tonight. Actually we have some progress on the house selling and the house purchasing front. But I'll wait until things are more finalized to post about it because the news tends to shift with each passing hour!
