So They Say

My usual "So She Says" title has to be changed to "So They Say" since Kate is talking more and more these days.

Our lawn was aerated this morning. This afternoon we were on our swing and Kendall looks down at the dirt clods on the ground and gives this little speech:

"It looks like poop but we're not supposed to say 'poop' because it's not lady
polite. And we're not supposed to lift our shirt up"

I love that she combined the words 'lady like' and 'polite' to get 'lady polite'. It's very efficient, I think I'm going to start using it. :)

It's not uncommon for Kate to stand at one of the windows and shout "PIP-PY!!" (Chippy). But today, just a few seconds after Kendall's little speech, we hear some rustling in the trees above our heads, Kate looks up from the sandbox and yells, "MO-Mo" (her word for Elmo). I cracked up, I don't know if she a)accidentally called out the wrong name or b) imagined Elmo swinging through our trees.

Yesterday the girls dug into the dress up clothes for a little "ballerina-ing"

And finally, I promised pictures of the house as we finish each room. Well, aside from the artwork (that I'm making) and the little white step stools for each sink the girls' bathroom is finished. Here are some pictures.

  2. SO, what is she supposed to say instead of "poop?"

I really want to have a polite child.

  3. Ha ha, Teri you are so cute. "Poop" itself is not really a bad word. Lately we have just been talking about how you aren't supposed to use that word say at the dinner table. Preschool has taught her that it is sometimes fun just to randomly yell out words like that. But we think that's just not 'lady polite'.
