P.S. Happy Survivor Starts Tonight Day.
Ding Ding Ding, that is correct Lesley. Your prize is: one of the free bottles of shampoo that I collect on my trip (lucky you)! Agggghhhhh, I'm going to Europe with Brian at the end of the month. I'm completely and totally sick to my stomach, it's a combination of excitement and nerves and sadness since I have never been apart from my girls that long. Throughout the evening I have had either a silly grin on my face or random bursts of tears. Susan, my mother-in-law, is awesome and is coming to stay here with the girls. I know that they won't lack for love while she is here. For some reason I'm a little more worried about Kate then Kendall, I think because I know that Kendall can ask questions and understand the answer that we'll be back, she can count down the days till my return, I can prepare her for our absence but Kate will just be clueless and it makes me sad. I think that once I am in the plane and taking off that I'll be okay. The days leading up to it and {cringe} getting out of the car at the airport and saying good-bye....have to stop now--computer screen is blurred due to tears. Despite the tone of this blog posting I'm incredibly excited. Excited to experience a new place (to me) with Brian, excited to get stamps in my passport, excited to sit on a plane (even if it is in coach with the "chickens and goats"--shout out to Fred, Brian's boss, his term not mine) and read a book. Let me say that again because it just sounds so nice, I'll read a book...one whole paragraph followed by another paragraph and so on and so forth with the only interruption being a nice offer of salty peanuts. I just realized something else, this may be a little crude and I'm sorry if I shouldn't say this, but I can go to the restroom by myself. I can't remember the last time I did this, heck, it's a treat if I can get them entertained enough that I don't have to hold one of them on my lap so to have the whole ROOM to myself, well I just can't imagine. And on that note I'm going to bed. All this crying has exhausted me.
Oh, here is a picture of Kendall in the flower girl dress she'll wear this summer. It was delivered today and she got to try it on. I don't know if her Aunt Kim will want her to wear the tights with it though. She LOVES it, she rubbed it and said, "Oh THANK YOU Daddy" then she ran to the mirror and said, "Mommy, I'm cute".
OK, just downloaded the pics from my camera...here is a picture of my cute little apron (wouldn't want to dirty my gym clothes).
Here is my trying to get out the door today: purse, diaper bag, Bible study bag, dry cleaning, baby in carrier, and trusty Sonic cup for my free refill. This picture was taken right before Kendall says, "You hold this" while trying to hand me her play cell phone. Evidently she misplaced her phone because while in her carseat on the way to Bible Study this morning, I overheard her call to her friend Anna. She has her hand up to her ear but there is no phone. She ends the call, looks at me and says, "Anna is going to be in my classroom, I called her on my ear".
Hungary?
ReplyDeleteAshley, I have to say to you, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" This sincere gratitude is stemming from a few posts back...your mention of Mr. Clean Magic Erasers for glass shower doors. Well, I just tried it, and let me tell you, it has turned my most dreaded and difficult household cleaning task into something MUCH easier and somewhat enjoyable. Okay, nix that last part, but still...I have never been so excited cleaning my shower! I've used the erasers before, but never for this. Now, I can't imagine ever using anything else. Your "favorites" rock!
You gotta be kidding? I can't even compete on Are You Smarter than A Fifth Grader!!! I would be like that Pickler chick who said she thought Europe WAS a country....I bet I could cheat and look at Survivor online and find out.....luv ya, paula
ReplyDeleteI know! I know!
ReplyDeleteWoooooooo! :D
here i have had those darn erasers for months...maybe even longer and i have never tried them. i thought i had a good shower cleaning detergent and i even recommended it to mom a few weeks ago, but i am going to do a test to see which i like better. maybe i'll send pictures to show my results??? i doubt it though.
ReplyDeleteWhen visiting my son in Round Rock, he was all about the Magic Eraser. He was using it to clean his kitchen sink. I bought a couple but forgot that Ashley had mentioned using it on the shower door. I will give it a try......later.....I hope I am as enthusiastic as Lesley after using it.....pk
ReplyDeleteOkay...first of all...ARE YOU TWO NUTS!?!? How about something for toilets, because THAT is MY most dreaded place to clean! There is something about two short-attentioned boys that just screams pee all OVER EVERYTHING!!! Lately their most favorite thing in the world to do is to pee in the same toilet at the same time. Of course they start laughing and looking at each other and then forget to AIM! ARGHH! So now I not only wonder why I taught them to pee standing up I am also wondering why I chose a house with carpet in the bathrooms! Ya think magic eraser can help me too?? ...no??...not on carpets?? ...but WHY!?!?
ReplyDeleteBut this reminds me of MY favorite cleaning product! And it is for CARPETS..surprise surprise!!
Ashley,
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you!! Yippeee!!
you guys are going to have so much fun. THe girls will be in good hands.
I cannot BELIEVE the cuteness of the comment: I just called her on my ear. Love it.
Toddlers are awesome.
Hey on a flight that long you'll get more than just peanuts. You'll get a whole meal! With no one eating off of your plate or saying, "Share?" over and over as you try to guard your food! Party time!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be so sure about jen05's comment. When you're sitting with the chickens and goats, you never know what can happen.
ReplyDeleteJeff saw your map and immediately said,"That's Hungary"
